Last week the girls decided it was time to do some carving, pumpkin carving that is. The pumpkin carving turned out to be a little bit of a competition and each of us thought we should have one first place. Lauren, Hunter and Patrick (Lauren's boyfriend) each had their own masterpiece. (Jackie was cheering at a football game) Laura chose me to be her partner and I think ours was the best. I kinda messed up and left the cat with a little nub for a tail. We tried to fix it with a toothpick and it actually looked pretty good. Lauren made a pirate ship, Hunter made a spider, and Patrick made a goofy faced pumpkin.

So, after the real carving was finished we decided it would be a great idea to make a little pumpkin of my own :) We bought non toxic paint and went to work, well, they did anyway. Laura decided to paint butterflies on my hands while the big girls created a goofy little face on my tummy. It really ended up being a lot of fun but a beating to clean up!

The beginning of a beautiful smiling pumpkin :)
Laura decided she wanted a butterfly on her face to match the ones on my hands. She LOVES to have her face painted!
We had to wait for the orange paint to dry then we started adding the rest.
Lauren's multi tasking...she's on the phone and painting while Laura is working on my butterflies!

At first glance you can hardly tell that my pumpkin isn't like the rest. Well, maybe a little, mine is a little more droopy than the others!
